Raw Strength & Power
This is a 12-week cycle aiming to develop an all-around stronger and more powerful athlete. Each week consists of five training sessions, and each session should be completed in less than two hours.
The weightlifting part is split into two blocks differing in volume/intensity with a 1-week deload phase in between blocks. All Olympic lifts are performed as power versions and will often be paired with plyometric exercises to develop explosiveness.
The strength part consists of separate cycles in back squat, deadlift, strict press, and bench press. A substantial part of the program involves accessory work for the grip, core and back.
Raw Strength & Power II
Raw Strength & Power II is a 12-week cycle that we have put forward as an alternative to redoing the first cycle again and again. This cycle is even more challenging than its predecessor, though the ultimate goal remains the same - to develop an all-around stronger and more powerful athlete.
The weightlifting part continues to be made up of a mix of power versions of Olympic lifts and plyometrics, but with a higher degree of complexity and overall volume. Also, the focus has shifted from the power jerk to the split jerk.
The strength part is now centered around the front squat rather than the back squat, and more time will be dedicated to the deadlift.
Each week consists of five training sessions, and each session should be completed in less than two hours.
Conditioning Add-On
The aim of this collection of uncomplicated but effective conditioning sessions is to help you maintain, or perhaps even improve, your conditioning while developing your barbell game.
The program consists of 25 sessions, all of them having both RX and scaled pacing/rep-schemes. The sessions are meant to be easy to moderate in intensity in order to avoid building up lactate in the muscles, seeing as this might obstruct your ability to lift weights.
Powerbuilding
The term 'powerbuilding' is a hybrid between 'powerlifting' and 'bodybuilding', and the essence of this concept is that there is a symbiotic and synergistic relationship between size and strength/power - you cannot fire a cannon from a canoe.
This program is the Weightlifting 101 manifestation of the above philosophy.
The program consists of five weekly sessions, the first four sessions of the week being our version of a push/pull split. On push days, you will be squatting and pressing, and on pull days, you will be working your posterior chain and training your upper body pulling.
The 5th weekly session focuses on strongman/odd object exercises and strength endurance, testing both lungs, strength and grit.
